Over the past year, we have had the opportunity to create detailed 3D phone models for brands including OnePlus, Samsung, Honor, Google, Xiaomi, Redmi and Vivo—and, most recently, Nothing.
While most brands rely on familiar shapes and materials, Nothing takes a bolder approach with a transparent rear panel, LED lighting and a layered design that looks different from every angle. This is precisely where 3D visualisation plays a vital role.
Why 3D?
- Interactivity – Customers can explore the product from any angle.
- Animation – LED effects can come to life, or the phone can be separated into individual layers.
- Realism – Surfaces, materials, reflections and shadows appear true to life.
- Consistency – The same 3D scene can be used for an online store, presentations and AR.
For products such as the Nothing Phone and its iconic Glyph lighting interface, 3D is an ideal format. Customers can immediately see how and where the LEDs respond to notifications or sound—something that is difficult to communicate with conventional photography.
